Betfred EGT October Heat: R3 Million Across Four Weekly Boards
R3 million cash: R500,000 on each weekly board, plus R1 million for the combined top 50
Any EGT Digital game qualifies at R2, or the next stake up if R2 is not on the panel

EGT October Heat is live at Betfred through 31 October 2026. Four separate boards share R3 million in cash, and the score is built on win size, not how long you sit on the reels.
Four boards, not one long grind
Betfred’s EGT October Heat is a month of short leaderboards. The pool is R3 million. A R2 spin on any EGT Digital game is enough to get on the sheet, and the points formula pays the size of the hit, not the number of spins.
The promo runs 1–31 October 2026. The operator copy puts R500,000 on each weekly board and a separate R1 million on the top 50 across all four boards combined. That is R3 million. Cash, not bonus chips.
Week 1 is already in its last stretch. It closes on 8 October. After that, the boards reset:
- Week 2: 9–15 October
- Week 3: 16–22 October
- Week 4: 23–31 October
A late start is not a write-off. Each week is its own tournament, with its own prize list. A bad Week 1 ranking does not follow you into Week 2.
Sign up first if you are new
If you are opening the account for this promo, the sign-up field is where the Betfred promo code SAGAMES goes. Betfred is advertising a new-customer package of up to R21,000 plus 750 free spins on the site itself. The code does not change the October Heat rules. It ties the welcome to the registration, so the first deposits are not a plain cash top-up while everyone else is already on the EGT boards.
Read the cashier terms before you deposit. Welcome funds and the tournament are separate, and only real-money qualifying spins count toward the board.
How the points actually work
This is the part most promo blurbs skip. Betfred scores every qualifying spin as (winnings ÷ bet) × 100.
- A dead spin scores zero
- A R2 spin that returns R20 is (20 ÷ 2) × 100 = 1,000 points
- The same R20 off a R10 stake is only 200 points
- If a game has no R2 button, the next stake up still qualifies
- Any EGT Digital game in the Betfred lobby counts
Volume is not the lever. A short session with one proper multiplier can jump a player who has been spinning for an hour on small returns. Each player gets a personal tournament ID for the board. Check that the spins are landing on your ID, not just that the reels are moving.
You can only take one prize per tournament. A Week 1 payout does not block a Week 3 payout, because those are different boards. It does stop a second cheque off the same weekly table.
What each weekly board pays
Each weekly board pays 100 places and sums to R500,000.
| Place | Cash |
|---|---|
| 1st | R65,000 |
| 2nd | R50,000 |
| 3rd | R35,000 |
| 4th–5th | R20,000 each |
| 6th–10th | R8,000 each |
| 11th–20th | R5,000 each |
| 21st–50th | R4,000 each |
| 51st–100th | R2,000 each |
The R1 million final board
Betfred also ranks in the combined top 50 across all four weeks against a separate R1 million. The published split is heavier at the top.
- 1st: R135,000
- 2nd: R100,000
- 3rd: R85,000
- 4th: R70,000
- 5th: R60,000
- 6th–10th: R35,000 each
- 11th–15th: R25,000 each
- 16th–20th: R20,000 each
Winners on each weekly board, and on the final board, are credited within 72 hours of that board closing. Malfunctions can void the round. EGT Digital and Betfred can change or pull the promo.
What gets an account pulled
The terms are blunt on syndicates and pattern play.
- Linked accounts, copied staking, or coordinated climbing can void the prizes and close the accounts
- Betting both sides of a result, or hammering very short prices to turn a wallet over, counts as manipulation
- That rule covers the real-money wallet and any bonus wallet
- One prize per tournament is the ceiling, not a suggestion
