Wager R250 on any Habanero slot each day until 15 November 2026 to unlock 20 Free Spins (up to 100 per day) on Hot Hot Fruit or Wild Trucks. The window resets at midnight SAST, and the daily pool is limited.

Apex Bets Habanero Up! Five-a-Day Challenge Explained

Apex Bets is running a straightforward daily challenge with Habanero that rewards regular slot play. From Monday 19 October through Sunday 15 November 2026, any real-money wager on a Habanero slot counts toward free spins. There is no separate opt-in – you simply play and the progress tracks automatically in the Habanero UP! Panel.

The challenge runs in tight daily windows. Each window opens at 00:00 and closes at 23:45 SAST. Wagers placed in those last 15 minutes of the day do not count, and nothing carries over to the next day. If you hit R249 at 23:40, that progress is gone when the new window starts at midnight.

How the Rewards Build Up

Every cumulative R250 of real-money play on eligible Habanero slots during one Challenge Window unlocks one Reward of 20 Free Spins. You can claim a maximum of five Rewards per day, which equals 100 Free Spins.

Cumulative Real-Money Wagers	Rewards Unlocked	Free Spins Credited
R250	1	20
R500	2	40
R750	3	60
R1,000	4	80
R1,250	5 (maximum)	100

Cumulative Real-Money Wagers Rewards Unlocked Free Spins Credited
R250 1 20
R500 2 40
R750 3 60
R1,000 4 80
R1,250 5 (maximum) 100

Only real-money stakes count. Bonus funds, free spins, or promotional credits do not move the progress bar. Void or cancelled rounds are also ignored.

There is a hard daily limit of 4,320 Rewards across all players. Once that pool is exhausted, the challenge closes for the rest of the day even if you are still playing. Unclaimed Rewards do not roll over, so earlier in the day is safer if you want to guarantee your five rewards.

Free Spins Rules That Matter

The Free Spins land on either Hot Hot Fruit or Wild Trucks. Each spin is valued at R0.45. They cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or used on any other game.

Winnings from the Free Spins come with clear limits:

You must wager the Free Spin Winnings 20 times before they become withdrawable (standard game contribution rules apply).
The maximum real money you can convert from any single Reward is R45. Anything above that is forfeited.
Both the Free Spins and any unconverted winnings expire 72 hours after the Reward is awarded.

If you want a little more real money to work with? Pop in the Apex Bets promo code SAGAMES when you sign up. It opens up the multi-deposit welcome package, worth up to R30,000 over your first five deposits. More funds means more room to play Habanero slots and go after the free spins, without digging so deep into your own pocket for those daily R250 thresholds.

Practical Tips for the Challenge

Stick to popular Habanero titles you already know. Hot Hot Fruit is a local favourite and is also one of the Free Spin games, so the transition feels natural.
Watch the Habanero UP!™ Panel, so you know exactly how close you are to the next R250. The panel is for guidance only – Apex Bets and Habanero records are final if there is any difference.
Start earlier in the day if possible. With only 4,320 Rewards available, late sessions can find the pool already empty.
Keep sessions under the daily max if you are budget-conscious. Once you hit your fifth Reward, further wagers that day do not earn more free spins under this promotion.
Complete FICA verification before you try to withdraw any Free Spin Winnings. Apex Bets can hold the conversion until your account is fully verified.

Who Can Take Part

You need a verified Apex Bets account, must be 18 or older, and must be legally allowed to gamble in South Africa. Only one account per person qualifies. Self-excluded players, employees of Apex Bets or Habanero, and their immediate family members are excluded.

Apex Bets can investigate accounts for multi-accounting, collusion, or irregular play and may withhold or reverse Rewards if they find issues. Technical problems are resolved using available game and system data, with Apex Bets’ decision final (subject to applicable law).

Any dispute can be raised with Apex Bets customer service first. If you remain unhappy after their final decision, you may escalate to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board at [email protected].
