Betway is dropping free bets on Skyward Storm every hour this week between noon and midnight. Opt in, keep a live R1+ bet on the game, cash out after x1.5, and grab a share of R200,000 before midnight on 28 September.

Betway’s Lucky Lift Off promo is live right now. It is a short Skyward Storm campaign with free bets dropping every hour — but only if you opt in, bet during the right window, and are still in a round when a Sky Drop lands.

This guide covers the dates, how to qualify, how the free bets work, and the terms that actually change what you win.

Bets placed outside those hours do not qualify. A stake at 11:50 am or just after midnight is a normal bet, not a promo bet. Sunday, 28 September, is the last day and the only day with extra free bets in the pool.

How to join Lucky Lift Off

You do not get entered just by having a Betway account.

Log in, or create an account if you are new.

Open Skyward Storm.
Place at least R1 during promo hours and stay in the game.

How Sky Drops work on Skyward Storm

Sky Drops are random. Betway can drop them up to three times every hour between noon and midnight.

To claim one:

You must already be opted in.
You must have a qualifying bet of R1 or more on Skyward Storm.
You must be actively wagering at the moment the drop hits.

Lucky Lift Off free bet rules

These are the rules that decide whether a free bet pays you or expires.

One free bet per Sky Drop. You cannot stack extras from the same drop.
Daily cap: 36 free bets if you catch every drop (3 per hour × 12 hours).
Expiry: 24 hours from the moment you claim it. Unused tickets fall away.
Cash-out floor: the plane must pass x1.5 before you can cash a free bet.
Payout cap: winnings from each free bet max out at R1,000.
Credit time: prizes are automatic and can take up to 48 hours to show.

Lucky Lift-Off prize pool

Terms that may affect your winnings

Most of the legal page is standard. These points change what you walk away with:

Only Skyward Storm bets inside the noon-to-midnight window qualify.
Free bets are not transferable and cannot be paid to someone else.
Betway can ask winners for ID, an acceptance form, and an information disclosure. Fail that check, and the prize is cancelled.
Multi-accounting, drop abuse, or any irregular play means instant disqualification.
Betway can amend or stop the promo. If an advert and these rules clash, the rules win.
Betway’s records decide any dispute about whether a bet counted.

Quick play plan for this week

Make sure you opt in before you start playing. You need to have at least one R1+ bet active when you're in Skyward Storm. Grab the drop as soon as it shows up, and then use your free bet on the same day. If you wait too long, like until the last hour, your tickets might expire, especially if there are power outages.

When you get a free bet, cash out once it reaches 1.5 times your bet. Trying to wait for a massive multiplier isn't worth it because of the R1,000 limit. It's better to cash out for a guaranteed win above 1.5 than to risk losing the ticket altogether.

If you can only play during one session, aim for September 28th. That's the day when there will be more free bets available.
